In 2011, the Federation of Calgary Communities, a support organization for the volunteers who "improve neighbourhood life in Calgary", will turn 50 – a perfect opportunity to celebrate the people who give have been part of it! It is also a unique opportunity to invite other Calgarians to be part of community life – to lend a hand, to make our streets safe, to get to know their neighbours! The theme "Be Part of It" is both a celebration of volunteers and an invite to others to work together to "improve neighbourhood life in Calgary".
